In physics, motion is a change in position of an object with respect to time. Motion is typically described in terms of displacement, distance (scalar), velocity, acceleration, time and speed.[1] Motion of a body is observed by attaching a frame of reference to an observer and measuring the change in position of the body relative to that frame n If the position of a body is not changing with the time with respect to a given frame of reference the body is said to be at rest, motionless, immobile, stationary, or to have constant (time-invariant) position. An object's motion cannot change unless it is acted upon by a force, as described by Newton's first law. Momentum is a quantity which is used for measuring motion of an object. An object's momentum is directly related to the object's mass and velocity, and the total momentum of all objects in an isolated system (one not affected by external forces) does not change with time, as described by the law of conservation of momentum.
As there is no absolute frame of reference, absolute motion cannot be determined.[2] Thus, everything in the universe can be considered to be moving.[3]:20–21
More generally, motion is a concept that applies to objects, bodies, and matter particles, to radiation, radiation fields and radiation particles, and to space, its curvature and space-time. One can also speak of motion of shapes and boundaries. Thus, the term motion in general signifies a continuous change in the configuration of a physical system. For example, one can talk about motion of a wave or about motion of a quantum particle, where the configuration consists of probabilities of occupying specific positions.

A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances to another.[1] Classically, chemical reactions encompass changes that only involve the positions of electrons in the forming and breaking of chemical bonds between atoms, with no change to the nuclei (no change to the elements present), and can often be described by a chemical equation.

Equations

As seen from the equation CH
4 + 2 O
2 → CO
2 + 2 H
2O, a coefficient of 2 must be placed before the oxygen gas on the reactants side and before the water on the products side in order for, as per the law of conservation of mass, the quantity of each element does not change during the reaction
Main article: Chemical equation
Chemical equations are used to graphically illustrate chemical reactions. They consist of chemical or structural formulas of the reactants on the left and those of the products on the right. They are separated by an arrow (→) which indicates the direction and type of the reaction; the arrow is read as the word "yields".[7] The tip of the arrow points in the direction in which the reaction proceeds. A double arrow (is in equilibrium with) pointing in opposite directions is used for equilibrium reactions. Equations should be balanced according to the stoichiometry, the number of atoms of each species should be the same on both sides of the equation. This is achieved by scaling the number of involved molecules (A, B, C and D in a schematic example below) by the appropriate integers a, b, c

Elementary reactions
\mathrm{AB \longrightarrow A + B}
Dissociation of a molecule AB into fragments A and B
For bimolecular reactions, two molecules collide and react with each other. Their merger is called chemical synthesis or an addition reaction.

\mathrm{A + B \longrightarrow AB}
Another possibility is that only a portion of one molecule is transferred to the other molecule. This type of reaction occurs, for example, in redox and acid-base reactions. In redox reactions, the transferred particle is an electron, whereas in acid-base reactions it is a proton. This type of reaction is also called metathesis.

\mathrm{HA + B \longrightarrow A + HB}
for example

NaCl_{(aq)} + AgNO_{3(aq)} \longrightarrow NaNO_{3(aq)} + AgCl_{(s)}

this is a description of chemical and reactions

Hi guys, this is the first post in the topic and I will try to explain the basic classification of chemical reactions –
 Combination Reaction - When two substances/elements combine to form a new product, combination reaction is said to take place. The properties of the products and reactants are generally not the same, for example – H2 and O2 gases combine to form H2O which is a liquid.
 Decomposition Reaction – When a complex substance breaks down into simpler substances, it is said to undergo decomposition reaction. For example -  H2O  H2+O2
 Single Replacement - In a double replacement reaction, the anions and cations of two compounds switch places and form two entirely different compounds. These reactions are in the general form. For eg. – CuSO4+Fe= FeSO4+Cu
 Double Replacement - In a double replacement reaction, the anions and cations of two compounds switch places and form two entirely different compounds. These reactions are in the general form. For eg. – Pb(NO3)2+2KI Pbl2+2KNO3
 Neutralisation Reaction – An acid and a base react and neutralise each other. Generally a salt and water is formed. For eg. – HCl+NaOHNaCl+H2O.
 Precipitation - Precipitation is the formation of a solid in a solution or inside another solid during a chemical reaction. It usually takes place when the concentration of dissolved ions exceeds the solubility limit and forms an insoluble salt. This process can be assisted by adding a precipitating agent or by removal of the solvent. Rapid precipitation results in an amorphous or micro crystalline residue and slow process can yield single crystals. The latter can also be obtained by recrystallization from micro crystalline salts.
